Gromwell Powder or alkanet root powder is grounded at low temperature, will allow a more rapid release of its active ingredients.

Purple gromwell is traditionally used to heal wounds, rashes and burns.

As Gromwell (Lithospermum erythrorhizon) root (GR) has an extensive traditional medicine history that includes providing multiple skin benefits, our objective was to determine whether GR extract and its base naphthoquinone, shikonin, might protect skin by inhibiting glycation, increasing oxidative defenses, suppressing .

It can also be applied as a poultice to wounded or inflamed skin. The powder can be added to face oils or creams or used as a face mask.

Origin Country: Taiwan

Suggested Uses:  For soap making. It also usually imparts a dark purple to cold process soaps.

Grade: Cosmetic

Caution: Do not ingest. Keep away from eyes.
